About the clinic
Physical therapy built around the patient in front of us.
Direct PT of Huntsville is a small, personalized physical therapy clinic in Huntsville, TX. The model is deliberately simple: small caseloads, plans built on your goals, and enough education that you understand your own recovery.

Who you'll work with
Cassie Fry, PTA
A licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who has spent her career on the treatment floor, not behind a desk. Caseloads at Direct PT of Huntsville stay small — no more than two patients per clinician at a time — so the person treating you is actually watching you move.
Cassie treats under the plan of care set by Dr. Sean Chen, PT, DPT, the clinic’s Physical Therapy Director. Her focus is the part patients remember: the coaching, the hands-on work, and making sure you leave understanding your own body.
Our approach
Attention is the treatment variable most clinics give up first.
Rehabilitation exercise has a narrow effective window. Too little load and tissue does not adapt. Too much and the problem flares. Finding that window takes someone watching how a movement looks, how it changes across a set, and what happens over the following day.
In a high-volume clinic that attention gets divided across three or four patients at once. It is legal, common, and financially rational — and it is why so many people describe therapy as “exercises I could have done at home.”
We built Direct PT of Huntsville around the opposite tradeoff. Fewer patients at a time — never more than two per clinician — and a care team that knows your plan. Plans of care tend to be shorter as a result, which is usually what makes the arithmetic work for patients as well as for us.

What we hold to
Three commitments that shape every plan of care
These are the promises the clinic is organized around — the reasons the schedule, the pricing, and the session length look the way they do.
01
Personalized care
Your plan comes from your evaluation and your goal. It changes the day your body does, not at the next scheduled reassessment, because the person who wrote it is the person watching you move.
02
Patient education
Understanding your condition changes what you do in the six days a week you are not here — and that is most of the outcome. You should be able to explain your problem and your program in your own words.
03
Time and cost respected
Fewer, fuller visits. Benefits verified before your first appointment, a written estimate before treatment starts, and a home program built for the equipment you actually own.
Your first visit
What actually happens
Plan on about an hour. Most of it is testing, because a plan built on findings beats a plan built on assumptions.
- A full history — what happened, what you have tried, and what you want back
- Strength, mobility, and functional testing to find the real limiter
- A screen for anything that warrants a physician rather than a therapist
- Hands-on treatment the same visit, aimed at what testing found
- A plain-language explanation of what is going on and why
- A home program written for your equipment and your schedule
- An estimated visit range, plus benefits verified and costs confirmed up front
